Man! There was so many obstacles that you guys had to over come with P7. Computer fails in the lab, Internet going out, having to obey prim limits, Island at prim capacity multiple times. Aren’t you guys glad that your galleries are just about done, if not already done? You guys are all awesome. Especially for putting up with the all the SecondLife DRAMA!!!!
Even with all the issues, everyone said that their galleries are going very well. AND IT SHOWS!!! Totally awesome galleries. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME Galleries. I’m glad though that your frustrations on SecondLife are minimizing slowly. And now you don’t have much left to do on SecondLife!!! YAY for some of you, especially the IHATESECONDLIFE peep.
There are so many galleries that I saw and LOVED! But unfortunately, I can only pick a few.
OMGWTFBBQ MAN! This gallery is awesome. I remember seeing this gallery when the they were starting to build the castle. And look at it now! LOOK!!! LOOK AT IT!!!!! These people put a lot of work into it. I just love how this gallery turned out. ❤
I love this gallery. It looks completely, utterly, truly awesome. It might not be finished but man it looks totally awesome. It is awesome how the floors are see-through and you can see underneath. Vincent and his group members did an amazing job, and they stayed true to their idea of giving their gallery a futuristic feel. I cannot wait to see it when its all finished.
These guys are the reason why VirtualCSULB runs out of prims. But man! Their structures are truly amazing. The Brothers are some serious Professional SecondLife Builders!!!
Ummm. WOW!!! This gallery has REALLY come through a transformation. I remember seeing this gallery on thursday lab and it was nothing like this. BUT MAN! Tayler and her group members pulled their gallery out of a magician’s hat of awesomeness!!!
This past weekend, i discovered Cleverbot. I asked the Actual Intelligence, if “you think that’s air you’re breathing?”. Since i never really knew how to answer the question, why not ask a computer. It’s answer is the title of the blog post. I also asked it some other questions that i needed the answer to. It answered 2 of the 3 questions. It seems the end of Inception may never have an answer.
Onto P6… I’m torn as to what to what reaction i should have this week.
On Tuesday, I hardly got any questions which got me to believe that either all of you were not doing anything and planning on procrastinating until the weekend OR that you all knew what you were doing.
I REALLY hoped it was the second one.
Thursday morning came along, and i saw some really amazing work that made me go…
So that made me happy and excited to see all of your P6’s.
Unfortunately, MANY of you underestimated the project and so when i went to see the documentation of what you completed this week, it scared me.
This week was only part 1 of building so there is still this whole week to make it up.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE PROJECT!!!
It will come back to haunt you if you don’t work in lab, ask questions, and come see us during office hours. You have the resources to do these projects but you just need to take advantage of them. We will be in lab on Tuesday and Thursday. Vanessa and I are also available on Friday all day in AS-120.
On that note, i leave you with this gif of Thinh doing a dance
Before i completely lose you, here are the best projects of the week as chosen by me from the 9a class last names M-P.
If your avatar approaches this building in Second Life, you instantly feel like Godzilla. Fortunately for the triplets, the building does not dismantle.
A Mariachi band…Now It’s a Party!!!!!
P5 is done!!
I really enjoyed seeing all of you but by 5 o’clock on Friday, i was DONE. 16 hours of proposal meetings. My eyes burn just thinking about it.
You all had some really good ideas. Some ideas were so good, i had almost no critiques. Now the interesting part is up, building.
For this week’s grading, i had the privilege of grading two sections of the 9a class: last names A-E and M-P.
the proposed gallery is going to be a maze full of people of different shapes and sizes
Lauren’s Kitten got jealous of her sketchbook
an elevation view of what the Katriona Beales gallery will look like
9a Koning/Eizenberg group’s VRAG
Let me just start out by saying, I f**king looove the Mattes. I really just… I love them. I think they’re genius, they set off so many light bulbs for me. But this isn’t about me, it’s about YOU. Kinda maybe.
So first off, this is Jacqlyn. I chose to show her video because 1) she put so much thought into her responses; she even RESEARCHED. She went to http://www.0100101110101101.org to get a better understanding of their projects because let’s face it, they’re whack. And it didn’t hurt that she liked them Just. Like. Me. 🙂
I’m open to opposing views. So Magana brothers, FINE. You make… points. I’d say “look a little deeper and into the not so literal meanings of the Mattes’ work” but you backed up your opinions with reason. So kudos. (And I don’t quite care for the Starbucks question either…)
And finally… Sydney! Great analysis (hehe, she likes them) and I know it was hard to keep within the time limit and really say what was on your mind, so you’re okay in my book. Bonus for obeying the time limit but still giving it some deep thought.
Kudos to those of you who completed Project 1, and double if you got a bomb grade. This was a lot of work but we always have super stars in Art110. Always.
SO HERE’S MY TOP 3:
THIS GIRL IS AWESOME.
Sadly, guys, I think this may have been the only vlog(video+blog) that made me laugh out loud. I was hoping for more of those. But this girl is.so.cool. I mean, watch the vlog! It’s funny right??? And totally answers the questions we asked. Super A, my friend. And… can I have your sweater?? Just asking…
This is Grover, Mark and Scott (who I assume are brothers because same last name and in a video together??
That can’t be a coincidence.), and Anthony.
Guys, you really won me over with the music. I never really played Sims except on a Game Boy SP but… I’ve always secretly wanted to. This music is from the Sims, right? Anyway, you guys are funny. And very thoughtful on random objects such as… a Godzilla cup holder. I totally remember having that or something like it when the actual movie came out. But may I ask what it’s for? It’s not holding a cup in a car or anything… I don’t imagine you’d need it on a desk or anything unless you have a bumpy desk?? But I don’t see how a cup holder not attached to anything would help out in that situation. Yo, help me out. WTF is it for???
By the way, I definitely enjoyed the guest appearance at the beginning.

This is JERONIMO.
You’re allowed to yell his name if you wanna. He told me so. (On the Facebook group)
HE LIVES, BREATHES, AND EATS FILM. I mean, I really like film but I prefer to eat ice cream and pasta roni. It’s cool though, this guys’ a fire cracker, super passionate about film’n’stuff and I can dig it. Feist at the begining/end?? Okay, I can dig that too. And making your video black and white totally helped out with the “crappy lighting”. Nice to look at, good content; good vlog, right?
AND THEN THERE’S THIS GUY
Bryan made this siiiick steam punk wheel chair. SO COOL, RIGHT???
I mean, dude, your vlog was alright but I was really blown away by the wheel chair. I’m really amazed by your mad SecondLife skills and can’t wait to see what’s next from you. Totally awesome work Bryan. Virtual high-five, or thumbs up; whichever you prefer. Some people don’t really like virtual germs.
