End of the semester

Working as a TA has been an interesting experience. This semester has been busy and intense. I’ve learned to appreciate the work that professors and teachers do a little more and have come to understand what they do and why they do it.

Projects 7 thru 12 and Farewell Post <3

So unfortunately not everyone did their projects every week for the people I was grading. Since I don’t want to give the same 3 or 4 people praise for every week, I decided to highlight one student per project for the last 6 projects. Sorry this is so late, but here we go. 

Final Project, Final Story

Last semester, the counterfactual identity project was near and dear to my heart. It gave me a chance to address a loss I experienced many years ago, and understand how life would have been if it had not occurred. This semester, the closest thing I experienced to a project that I felt was (no bragging intended, I promise) as deep as mine was perceived to be by our tA’s last semester.

The Future of Youtube Stardom

There are a lot of freshmen at Long Beach that consider going into film and many that would never consider it. Being given the opportunity to get behind and in front of the camera offers the rare chance to experiment with the film industry. And this week did not disappoint.

so… i’ve had an interesting time grading this weeks projects.

This week’s project was to shoot a brand new video. It could be about anything. I only got one video from my people but what i got was a video that needed a better camera but the story and the effort was totally there. Congrats to all of you who were first timers in making videos. I hope you had fun and that you continue to make videos in the future.
